England will be anxiously waiting for Shoaib Bashir's fitness update after the off-spinner suffered a blow on his fingers. The incident occurred during the Day three of the third Lord's Test against India. Ravindra Jadeja came down the track and wanted to smash the bowler. However, the southpaw did not quite get the elevation as he would have liked.

The lanky off-spinner saw the ball come near him, and he tried attempting a catch, but it burst through his hands and along the way hurt one of his fingers. Bashir immediately showed his captain, Ben Stokes, the blow he copped and left the field. The injury to the spinner occurred imminently after he was successful in dismissing KL Rahul.

Since leaving the field, it has been confirmed by ECB that Shoiab Bashir is currently undergoing treatment, and an update will be provided within a few hours. The off-spinner's remaining over was completed by Joe Root. Should the lanky spinner be ruled for the remainder of the game, then Root has to take up the responsibility of bowling spin overs.

Lord's Test poised for exciting finish as India draws parity with England on first innings score

Speaking about the third Lord's Test, India, on the back of opener KL Rahul's brilliant century, drew level with England's first-innings score of 387 runs. At the end of Day three's play, the hosts were 2 without loss. With Lord's pitch deteriorating slightly on Days four and five, anything over 300 will be tricky for India to chase.
